Hiya Pals! Lots-o-action this weekend in former Hawkey world.
Friday saw sixteen ex-blackhawks, which were all skaters, take the ice producing one goal and three assists for a total of four points.
Saturday there were seventeen former ‘Hawks who dressed and played. The sixteen skaters scored seven points off of five goals and two assists. Most of the goals coming from unlikely sources, while one goal and assist came from the guy I believe the ‘Hawks are really missing from last year. The one goalie had his second straight loss in a shootout, not saying who it is but hopefully tonight he does the same thing in the UC but its in regulation. (Hint Hint)
Yesterday, Sunday, nine former featherheads took the ice, with the one goalie having a rough outing but didn’t get a decision, and the eight skaters combined for one goal and three assists amounting to four points.
Hope that you enjoyed this weekend and that tonight’s game makes you even happier. If there is anyone going to the game tonight buy the guy wearing the Away Jonathon Toews Jersey sitting in section 327 , row 11 , seat 10, a bud heavy if you so choose and I may even give you a shout out in tomorrow’s post.

There were seventeen former ‘Hawks to take the ice last night. Of the fourteen skaters there was only one point recorded and that by Shawn Thornton which was an assist. The three goaltenders combined for a 2-0-1 record, with two really good performances and one not so good performance. Oh yea, and Bonehead Boynton made his Flyer debut, lets just say it was nothing special. Enjoy your weekend!

There were thirteen former ‘Hawks on the pond last night. The one goalie came back from a devastating eye injury (yea right), and took a huge loss, while the skaters provided just two points. One goal coming from the only Flame-r and one assist coming from an unlikely source ending a scoreless streak.
On other thoughts, I am unsure whether or not St. Louis’s goal was legal. I mean it was a great shot and move, but I think the puck stopped there for a second. Oh well, that just shows you need to be able to score in the shootout and not lay and egg… Enjoy today’s post.

There were twenty-two former featherheads to swarm the ice last night. The two goaltenders picked up wins while the skaters added four goals and five assists to amass nine points. Big stand outs were Travis Moen, Martin Havlat, and Tim Brent, each one posting two points. Disappointing to see the ‘Hawks lose to a team like Florida, but hopefully it lights a fire under their asses for tonight’s game! Enjoy!

Only four former featherheads took the ice last night between the three games that took place. Adam Burish came away with the only point which was an assist. The standings are all jumbled up and hopefully our boys can keep the 4 see with another win tonight. Lets take em’ down boys! Stay tune for Tim’s preview of tonight’s matchup!

This weekends the former Hawk’s were very busy, and this Espo is jam packed.
On Friday there were nine former featherheads to take the ice scoring two goals and one assist for three points. The one goalie who played was cooled down losing for just the second time since switching teams.
On Saturday twenty-one ex-‘Hawks played. The lamp was lit several times because of these guys, four goals and seven assists totaling eleven points. The big scorers were in the Atlanta vs Florida game where the three former hawks who played added eight points, including big games from Big Buff and Andrew “The Captain” Ladd. The one goalie who played lost his first game in nearly three weeks.
Wrapping up the weekend on Sunday, there were seven former Blackhawks who played tallying just two assists. The goalie lost his decision for a team who has struggled in it’s last couple games. The goalies this weekend didn’t fare to well.
Thank you to Tom Leonard for the kind email as well as pointing out that I was missing a couple of former ‘Hawks in my daily post. You will see a couple of new names in this post. Also thank you to all who read the post everyday! I am glad that you like the post! If you see that I am forgetting anyone else or have a idea to help the Espo or even just want to say hi send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will try to get back to you! Hope you had a great weekend and that you enjoy today’s post!

There were twenty two former ‘Hawks in action last night. The twenty skaters combined to score three goals (two of which came from Kris Versteeg) and five assists totaling eight points. The two goalies remained on fire winning their two games stopping an impressive sixty-eight shots combined and only allowing two goals. These guys are smoking.
The standing were jumbled up again after these games but the Blackhawks still remain in the 4th seed. With Detroit’ loss last night, if the Hawks win the game tonight they will pull within seven points of the Wings, which I think is attainable, this season isn’t over yet but crazier things have happened.
Enjoy your weekend and hopefully the ‘Hawks can help you enjoy them more by extending this winning streak and bringing home four more points. GO HAWKS!

Six former Blackhawks skated last night compiling four points, three were goals the other was an assist. The two who stand out are John Madden and Rene Bourque. That flamer got lucky that the puck fell in his lap twice while he was near the net or had an open net… Bum. On the other hand, good to see John Madden having success, I always did like him, hes just too expensive to keep…
Enjoy fourth place for the day as well as Boxing from Bartl. Have a good one guys!

There were eighteen former featherheads to take the ice last night. There were two goalies who split decisions. The one who got the win is probably playing the best out of any goalie in the league. The other 16 players were able to contribute five points, two goals and three assists. The two goals came from blue-liners. Enjoy your day, and watch for Tim’s pre-game for the big game tonight against Calgary, a win can have the ‘Hawks in 4th!

The three former ‘Hawks which played last night added three points, two were goals the other was an assist. We have a new former Hawk and there was another former feather head who switched sweaters as well. Glad the ‘Hawks are continuing their winning ways.

There were sixteen former ‘Hawks to take the ice Friday scoring two points which were both goals. The two goalies split, but the win came from probably the hottest goal tender in the league right now.
Saturday there were fourteen former featherheads to play producing one goal, and two assists and the goalies combined again for one win and one loss.
Sunday, eleven former Blackhawks took the pond and we able to score two goals and one assist. One goal came from one of the hottest players in the league goals wise, Andrew Ladd, and the other came from a former Captain of the Hawks, Adrian Aucoin. Hope you enjoyed the win last night. I was able to witness it from the United Center, wish they won in Regulation but I’ll take a W. Enjoy the weekend Espo and tonight’s game!

There were nine former ‘Hawks on the ice last night, pulling out one goal and two assists. Another was packing his bags and moving to another team. How bout that win the ‘Hawks got last night! Not bad. Lets keep it up! Enjoy folks.

UPDATE: The Atlanta Thrashers have traded Brent Sopel to Montreal for a minor-league prospect and fourth-round draft pick today.
There were eleven former Blackhawks on the ice last night. The two goalies pulled out wins and have been playing really well as of late. The other nine skaters which I count as seven due to one being David Koci and the other Jack Skille produced two points… One was a goal and the other was an assist both were scored by two of the hottest players in the league right now. Lets get another W tonight. Huge four point swing from this game tonight!

There were 19 former Blackhawks that played last night two of which were goalies and split their decisions. The other 17 were able to combine for three goals and four assists.
The Coyotes stayed hot beating the Flyers on the road in OT while on the other end of the spectrum the Stars lost again. The Preds, Flames, Stars, Wings, Canucks all lost which is nice because they were all ahead of the ‘Hawks in the standings. The Sharks, Wild, and Phoenix however pulled off victories and stayed ahead of the Hawks.
Hopefully we can play well over the next three games all against Western Conference opponents. Enjoy!

There were a whopping two former featherheads to take the ice yesterday. One was the newest former ‘Hawk who continued his suckiness while the other was Craig Adams, who well just like Skille didn’t do shit, but he was less crappy than Jackie… No points were scored between the two.
On a different note, the Hawks have won a game in regulation! Hope has been restored… for now.

(Ha fooled ya, didn’t think I needed a jump for two guys)
Craig Adams – Pittsburgh
13:22 TOI, 5 of 15 on face-offs
Jack Skille – Florida
15:00 TOI, minus two, three shots
Jack added to his amazing plus minus as a Panther and is now a minus eight in the six games he has played for them… Whoopie!

There were eleven former feather heads that took the ice Friday night and they were all skaters. Also they were able to net two goals and add two assists.
On Saturday sixteen former ‘Hawks took the ice. There were two goalies who both recorded impressive shut outs. One was in his debut after being traded the day before. There were two points recorded which were both goals coming from Former Stanley Cup Champion Hawks, Ladd and Byfuglien.
Sunday, “Hockey Day in America”, there were nine former Blackhawks to take the ice. They tallied four points which were all goals. Rene Bourque had a game to remember in the Heritage Classic. Really carried the flames to victory. Every game was competitive and exciting on “Hockey Day in America” and I was just happy to see the ‘Hawks pull one out.
Sunday was former Blackhawk, Phil Esposito’s 69th birthday. Esposito’s 18 year career started here in Chicago midway into the 1964 season. In 1965 he started the season centering future Hall of Famer Bobby Hull.
In 1967 he was traded to the Boston Bruins where he flourished. He led the league in points five times during the years 1969, 71, 72, 73, 74 when he recorded 126, 152, 133, 130, and 145 respectively. He also scored a career high, 76 goals in the 1970-71 season. He is considered one of the best players to ever play the game. Obviously I could go on about Esposito, but I will just continue with this weekend’s game action. So lastly, Happy Birthday Phil, we would have loved to have you in Chicago for your entire career, but we now have this post in your honor.

Fourteen former featherheads took the ice last night with the two goalies coming up with big wins. Did Khabi have a hangover after his first win in two months the other night or did he step up? The twelve skaters netted two goals and had four assists. Two former Hawks went to the Hospital last night after getting nailed in the face by a puck and another is the Captain of his team and scored his team leading and career highest 20th goal. Lastly the lone Red Wing “spitting noise” (ask Tim would say) had a huge game as well against the Lightning.

There were twelve former ‘Hawks to take the ice last night, and that’s if you count David Koci as a skater. He skated for under two minutes so in my book it doesn’t count. They were all skaters and produced six points which were of two goals and four assists. Kris Versteeg picked up his first point as a Flyer as well. Oh and I am starting to agree more and more with Bartl about Jack Skille who has been terrible as a Panther.
How bout that Western Conference? Nashville, San Jose, Anaheim, Dallas, and Calgary all have 68 points which take up the remaining five playoff spots. The Kings are a point off with 67, and then falls Minnesota with 65 then the ‘Hawks with 64. Going to be a very tight race to the finish, and I hope that our boys continue to play how they did in the second and third periods last night.
Also, I want to have a shout out to Troy Brouwer who in my book, other than Jonathon Toews, he is the MVP of this ‘Hawks team this year. Great job kid, and hopefully Stan Bowman thinks the same and brings him back next year. Enjoy the Espo today and gear up for tomorrow night’s game against Columbus!

There were fourteen former featherheads to take the ice last night. The three goalies all had impressive wins and one even broke a long losing streak and will probably get a DUI tonight due to his celebration. The eleven skaters were able to muster up only three assists. A former Stanley Cup Champion played his first game in the uniform in which he helped defeat in the finals, while another got his pen out to sign a big contract extension. The three wild players didn’t fair well tonight so lets hope that this performance carries over into tonight’s game.
Tim will have your preview of tonight’s game which hopefully our beloved Hawks can start a nice winning streak and get into the playoff picture. Interesting fact, there are four teams in the Western Conference with 68 points, they are all ranging from seventh in the standings to seventh. Hopefully the Hawks can take advantage of this and get into that situation. Enjoy today’s post and help cheer on our Blackhawks tonight!

There were five former hawks to take the ice last night and one was packing his bags and moving to a different team. Of the players there was a goalie the other four were skaters. The four skaters produced four points which were all assists. Vrbata continued his hot steak and Craig Anderson shit himself in a backup role against the Red Hot Calgary Flamers.

This was a crazy weekend in NHL games. There were many former Hawks lighting the lamp this weekend and adding helpers. There were six goals and eight assists tallied by former Hawks this weekend. There was a game with over 300 penalty minutes, several shoot out games (don’t get me started), and several no shows. Oh and the goal tending by former feather heads wasn’t too stellar either. There is enough for you to read so I’ll stop here, hope you had a good weekend and enjoy!

No Western Conference former Hawks took the ice last night, but eight Eastern Conference former Hawks did. They contributed with a Win from a goalie who is having a great year with the possible to be Stanley Cup Champs, and one goal coming from a cyclone.

There were eighteen former Blackhawks who were skating in the NHL last night, two of which were goalies. One goalie continued to falter while the other one has decided he wants to play, and he has played pretty damn well as of late. The other sixteen players amassed three goals and four assists. A dick head defense-man continued his career year, and a Yote has scored three goals in the last two games. Former Hawks have been lighting the lamp lately, and tonight we add another former Hawk to that list as Jake Skille has been traded. I liked the guy, but I really like the potential that Frolik adds to this team. What was Dale Tallon thinking? Enjoy folks.

Nine former Hawks were on ice last night in the NHL. Two points were recorded, one of each a goal and an assist. The one backstop that played picked up his second consecutive shut out which makes me sick to my stomach. There are eight games on the schedule for tonight including a big game in Detroit between the Pred’s and the Wings. That’s all I have for today, enjoy today’s Espo and stay tuned later for Tim’s Preview of tonight’s game in Edmonton.

There were fourteen former Featherheads to take the ice last night. One was a goalie who continued his winning streak, while the thirteen skaters came out to play scoring six goals and four assists. We even had a Colin Fraser sighting! This is remarkable. Shout out and big thank you to Meredith Gross, a dedicated follower to the site who has contacted me with kind words. Keep the emails and tweets coming guys! Hope you enjoy today’s edition, I have added a lot of side commentary today.
