He's 22, a point-a-game player, he's improving in all facets of the game (yes, he's even back-checking), he scored the Stanley Cup winning goal last year (doesn't shoot enough?), he has a no-movement clause and he's one of the best players in the league. Of course the Hawks should trade him!!! Get real. I hope he retires as a Blackhawk...
I am not in the camp who would like to see him shipped out of town, but if someone could light a fire under his ass to start taking more shots and passing less frequently, his stats would look a lot better and the team could win a few more games. He seems to me much more enamored with trying to be involved in pretty "highlight reel" plays, than throwing the puck at the net and letting the other players try to feed off of some juicy rebounds at the front of the net.
He needs to be almost a point a game since he doesn't hit or play D....plus of the big contracts, they would(should) never trade Toews, and nobody would likely take Hossa or Campbell with their deals, so if the hawks are to make a big deal to free up some cash it's Kaner or Keith....they'd get the most back for Kaner so if the right deal comes, I say adios.
