saw this guy play twice at the rookie tourny in London… he is amazingly fast and skilled. he’ll make the lineup forsure.

Makaov is really not that raw of a prospect. He’s fast, strong on the puck, handles the puck well, and aggressive offensively. He’s a playmaker type. Cerainly does not need other people to set him up to score. Defensively he’s not afraid to play physical, and he’s not afraid to drop the gloves either. He’s 23 years old and has played against men in the KHL in a 4th line role on pretty loaded teams, and in a league where veterans and defensive play are placed on a pedestal. His game is more suited for a North American style of hockey. Given his talent and his low-cap hit I’d be shocked if he didn’t make the team. I have him penciled on the 3rd line playing LW next to Dave Bolland on opening day, but don’t be shocked when he ends up playing next to Toews or Sharp.
